FIRST TEAM MATCH REPORTS SEASON 2009 / 10

Toolstation League Premier Division

Ilfracombe Town 3-1 Radstock Town

Although Ilfracombe produced a Jerkyll and Hyde performance they ended the game with another 3 points after recording their 13th win of the season. The game was only two minutes old when a clever back heel from Robbie Gough forced the Radstock defence to allow Shaun Lewis to give the home side a early lead. As the half progressed so did Ilfracombe's dominance and it came as no surprise when Lewis doubled the home advantage in the 32nd minute. Steve Holland scored Ilfracombe's third in the 37th minute with a devasting shot that gave visiting keeper Gary Stevens no chance of saving. Ilfracombe were merely shawdows as Radstock took control throughout the second half, but despite having the lions share of posession they never really threatened Steve Oliver in the home goal until the 89th minute when the ball struck the spreadeagled Jon Vooght on the arm for Nathan Flower to score a consolation goal for the visitors from the penalty spot. MOM: Steve Holland

Line Up: Oliver, Parish, Vooght, Bettiss, Baggaley, Holland, Taswell, Gough, Hedden, Lewis, Francis Subs: Marinaro, Middleton, Huxtable
